wow... I never thought I could shave 3 seconds off my 100 or .3 seconds off my 50 in 2 days! Could it be because I had a day of rest in between the meets? Or did I just want it more today? I think I finally realized the power of not breathing as much. Hoepfully I can qualify for state in some individual races now that our relays have qualified. In a weird sort of way, I'm actually looking forward to getting back in the pool on monday (although I'm probably going to regret those words later). I felt really like my stanima has improved though, since we've been working hard in the pool with sprinting longer distances. I hope we can work on some individual starts sometime this week. I'm confident in my relay starts, but I still feel sluggish coming off the block for my individual events. I'll pay close attention to that this week, if we work on it. Thanks for a great day!

Austin,
A lot of it comes down to your mind set going in to the race. A day of rest doesn't hurt but in the long run we don't want too many of those days of rest because it will effect your swims more at the end of the season.

We'll keep working on starts, turns, and economy as well as making sure our engines are ready to go. Be ready to embrace some great hard work over break. It is not a bad thing to look forward to opportunities to get faster in practice!!!
