The summer season ended in fine fashion with our Hamilton Age Group Team finishing in 6th place out of 21 teams in the league. Congratulations to all the swimmers on their great times throughout the summer and especially at the conference meets.
The start of the girls season is right around the corner. The first day of practice is August 11. Here is the breakdown of the schedule...
8/11 - 8/15, practice 9-11 am at our pool
8/18 - 8/22, practice 8:30-10:30 am at Bouws Pool in Holland, 3-5 pm at our pool
8/19 is the Parent Night for Fall Sports. The meeting is at 7:00 pm in the High School Library and all parents of swimmers and divers should attend.
8/25 - 8/29, practice 8:30-10:30 am, 3-5 pm at our pool for both practices
8/27,28 we will be going to Big Star Lake for a team retreat. We will leave after practice on Wednesday morning and return Thursday night...more info will be posted later.
I will have the calendar available by the end of the week and will post it with a link on the right.
All swimmers will get a full calendar, team handbook, and swimsuit/sweatshirt order form on the first day of practice.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL ATHLETES HAVE THEIR ATHLETIC PHYSICALS ON FILE (DATED AFTER APRIL 15, 2008) AND INSURANCE MONEY PAID IN THE HIGH SCHOOL OFFICE BEFORE THE FIRST PRACTICE.
Besides that...have a great rest of the summer. We'll see you all on August 11.
